Is Losing Weight Easier in the Summer?

Here it is, another perfect day in May, and I am doing GREAT at sticking with my eating plan and exercise routine.

A few months ago, I was struggling, at best. What's the difference?

For me, I wonder if it is the sunshine that puts me in a more optimistic frame of mind. I feel like the whole world is hopeful on a pretty summer day, and anything is possible.

Maybe it is just that I'm outdoors more, and more physically active.
I work in the garden, take the dogs for longer walks, generally move a lot more.
That makes me feel more like taking care of my body.

Maybe it is that I shed chilly-weather garments, and become more conscious of what has been lurking underneath the layers.
THERE'S motivation enough for anyone!

Whatever the reason, I am glad to be "in the zone" again, and intend to make the most of the summer advantage.

So, does anyone else have the same experience?

Hi Becky,

I'm so glad to see you posting again. I think of you often and hope you are well. Are you a member of any LC forums anymore? I am trying to get back on the wagon and wondered where everyone went off to. lol Take care.

Blessings,
Lisa

Hi, Lisa! I have missed you! I miss a lot of good folks I loved getting to know in the online low-carb forums.

I have been offline a long time, but started up a while back on Facebook. Are you on Facebook? If not, join! It's easy and fun --- I reconnected with lots of old friends there.

I keep saying I will get back to posting at Jimmy''s and Amy's, too. It really does help with accountability. I probably will in a week or two, after I finish a few projects.

I know a few other very small private groups have sprung up, but I don't know who or where.

But, don't wait for me or any other group to start taking care of yourself! Your health is valuable!

I have been away for a long time also. I was trying to get back to my "real" life as I had found myself spending too much time on the computer! I am not on Facebook at this time even though lots of family and friends have been asking me to start. I am afraid it will drag me back to a life of too much internet, again. lol

I have visited Jimmy's forum lately and was thinking of starting there again if I can find the time. Maybe we'll talk to you there some time. Take care.

Blessings,
Lisa

It's hard to keep real life and online life in balance sometimes, isn't it? But I have friends in both places, so I try, once again.

Oh, come on ---- join Facebook! It's been good.

Otherwise, I'll be back at Jimmy's and Amy's soon, so I'll see you there.
